If you have a B21A1, don't get your cylinders honed. B21A1 cylinder walls are made of a material called FRM (fibre reinforced metal) that is super tough and does not need honing. Some people have said that they have still been able to see the factory cross hatching in their FRM sleeved engines after 200000 kms.

If on the other hand, you have a B20A5, and you're going to really take the block apart, honing might be a good idea. You should stick with the normal sized rings unless you bore things out most likely.

My car has a B21, and I'm in the process of rebuilding a B20A5. Haven't gotten to the rings yet though. Everything is still in a million pieces.

yah i have a b21a1. i think the FRM sleeves must have just eaten away at the rings over the years as it seems to be burning oil. oh well just another job on the to do list,

Yes, FRM is hard on rings. In the long run, this is a good thing because your cylinder walls will never need rehoning. It's easy to change out rings compared to fixing wrecked cylinder walls.

this is a 88/89 prelude with a 90/91 front bumper.

the rear is 88/89 and all the trim (except for the front bumper) is 88/89
even the rear bumper is a 88/89 bumper (notice the 90/91 rear splash gears do not line up with the 88/89 bumper exact)
