A black one. I don't see many of those. Nice.

Great pictures. Good to finally see your ride.

I'm curious how you ended up with a 90/91 front bumper and 88-89 tail lights. What year is the car?

Your interior color (light brown) is also quite rare. Truth be told, the first lude I ever sat in was a midnight blue 91 Prelude with that interior color. Uncommon.

Your rear speaker deck looks quite interesting. Custom job? Did you do that?

What is the rear wing from? It looks like you have the same tires I used to have.

Thanks for the pictures. If you want, post them as well in the Prelude Picture Thread in the Just For Fun section.

thanks for the comments guys. its a 91 and to be honest i thought that the rear lights were original?oh well. about the interior color ..well i hate it haha. i plan to paint it all this summer when i find some time. the speakers at the back came with the car and it is a custom job. i threw the wing on i got it at a store for about 150$ it felt too bare and i like the way it makes the car look. i also have my eye on some rims that would go very nicely on the car:) i also hope to get the car painted black again as there is some very minor rust a small dent and the paint is getting old. i think it may also need new piston rings soon. how hard is this on the b21a1 engine?

No, those aren't the stock lights. See my tails:

You can swap them out for 91 tails sometime if you like the look better.

What type of rims are you going to get? If you're looking for ones that don't weigh very much, be sure to check out rims from Rota. Keep your stock rims too. That 'saw blade' rim that came on the Prelude is less common than the other rims that look like dinner plates.

Piston rings aren't hard to do, once you get the piston out of the car. It's more than a one day project, but if you have the tools and the know-how, you'll be able to do it. All you really have to do is pop the head off, and then take the oil pan off the bottom of the engine and disconnect the connecting rods from the bottom of the engine. Then you just pull the cylinders out the top of the motor, fit new rings, and reassemble.

The tails can be hard to find. I see them on eBay all the time. I've also seen a set at a wrecker before. You really just have to start the hunt. Remember, you need the center portion as well. Everything is a straight fit.

Post some pics of those rims so we can check em out. What size are you getting? 17"?

Get your rings from Honda, end of story. Honda parts are exceptionally well made. I wouldn't trust any other brand. www.hondaautomotiveparts.com if you're in the US. Otherwise, head to your local Honda dealer.

Darn. Hondaautomotiveparts.com doesn't ship to Canada. Best bet then is to shop around, but stick to Honda rings.

If you know someone in the US, just ask if you could ship to them and then have them forward it to you.

Nope. Just the piston rings. But since you're going to have the head off, it's a great chance to change the head gasket (if yours is leaking) and a great time to do the timing belt, since you'll have to reset the timing anyway when you put everything back together.

The rings at hondaautomotiveparts.com go for 31.74 a set. You'd need 4 sets, so that's roughly $125 before shipping.

I don't know of anyone that could help you out, but I'm sure there is a way. If you called them, you may be able to convince them to do a special shipment for you. There are other dealers too that sell Honda parts online, and they may ship to Canada.

There are also mail forwarding services in the states that you could use. You'd have to weigh the costs of all of these options.
