Exhaust question.

Post by rod_a88 »

hey you guys i was wondering if an exhaust manifold made for a b2oa5 will fit a b21a1. also i wanted to know if pace setter is a good company to get an exhaust system from. some guys is offering everything from header all the way down to the muffler so i was wondering if this was a good deal. he is offering it for 75 bucks.

The exhaust manifold from a B20A5 should fit a B21A1 without any problems. I'm pretty sure that the ports are identical between the two motors. After all, the B21A1 is just a bored out and re-sleeved B20A5

I have a PaceSetter cat back on my car. It's a good unit for the cost. Sounds is good, and it seems to be lasting. There are better Cat Back exhausts out there for the 3rd gen. Thermal R&D makes the best one that I know of. For the price, the PaceSetter is worth it if you don't want to spring for a Thermal one.

I do not have the Pace Setter header, but I have heard they are poorly made and don't offer the claimed performance gains. This is the word on the street anyway. Get what you can, but be wary of the header.

If you have it, by all means, put it on.

It should be at least a little bit better than stock.

Let us know how it goes. I'm sure there are others that would like to hear about your experience with the unit as it is not the first time someone has asked.
