Timing belt 1993 Prelude
I just purchased a non-running 1993 Honda Prelude with a 160,000 miles. After trying to get it started I inspected the timing belts the lower timing belt is broke. The upper belt is still good. Can anyone tell me if any damage could have happened to the motor when this belt broke. Thanks for your help

Lower timing belt? Are you referring to the drive belt for the balance shaft? There is only one timing belt.

Yes the lower belt that runs the balance shaft is the one that is broke.

If the balance shaft wasn't spinning the engine would've just run with more vibration. It's unlikely that would have caused any damage, unless run like that for a long time.
Damage from belt breakage is normally only a serious issue if that timing belt breaks which puts the valves at risk from moving pistons.
