I have an issue with a customers car...
It is a 2001 'Lude VTEC. He came to me recently with a charging issue that pointed to a bad altenator. We replaced it (new unit), and now we are going thru 15A fuses every 5 min while driving. When the fuse blows, it shuts the alt down and drains the battery. Once the 15A fuse is replaced, the alt charges fine...for 5 min or so.
Anyone have a cure for this before I start pulling out my hair?
Thanks in advance.

I'd check the alternator. Sounds like it might be pushing many volts into the electrical system (yes, this can happen). Multi-meter the voltage of the battery between the terminals when the car is running. Normal is about 13 volts. If it's higher than about 14.5 volts, you've got a bad alternator.
