I have an '89 Prelude si. The cooling fan seems to run longer than it should and will sometime come on when I haven't driven it for days. I assume that it is a problem with the radiator fan relay . However I cannot seem to locate that switch. Has anyone had this problem or can help me in locating the relay?
Thanks,
sd

Re: Cooling fan relay 2nd gen
First of all, welcome to PreludeDriver, superdave. We're glad you found us.
Your problem could be caused by the fan relay, or the temperature sensing unit in the bottom of the radiator. A malfunction with either of these would cause the fan to come on. You might want to start with the relay, but don't rule out a faulty sensor as well.
Another user had a similar problem. You should read this thread as well:

Also, in the subject line you indicated a 2nd gen prelude, but mentioned that it was an 89. For clarity, an 89 is a 3rd generation prelude, or perhaps you meant to put '86.
