BRAKE PEDDLE FEELS LIKE THERE ARE NO POWER BRAKES

Post by vilaubi57 »

IT STOPS THE CAR BUT IF YOU HAVE EVER DRIVEN A CAR WITH NO POWER BRAKES FROM THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THATS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE. THE ABS LIGHT IS ON ANS IS GIVING CODE 1 AND 4 I HAVE THE OEM MANUAL SO I KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT DONT THINK IT WOULD HALF TO DO WITH ANYTHING IN THE REGULAR BRAKING TIME.

ANYONE EVER COME ACROSS THIS BEFORE?

THANKS ALOT.

I've never had that problem before.

I assume that your brake lines are properly bled and that you're not just suffering from air bubbles in your brake lines? If there is even the slightest amount of air in your braking system, you'll get a really mushy pedal.

What does your manual say about those ABS error codes? Don't those ones indicate faulty wheel sensors?

With out know what year of lude you have I can only guess as to which error codes I need. Looking at my list for 92 ludes says 1 and 4 = 14 is pressure switch is faulty. This switch is there to let you know that pressure is available in the ABS unit to function.
Now is when having a manual comes in handy to repair such as the ones here
