hey lads i don't know if this is stupid but maybe someone here can help.
i would like to put a 2.2v-tec engine into my 2.0i 5th gen 1997 prelude.
is that just wishfull thinking or is it mechanically feasible.can someone tell me if it,s possible and what would be involved

Good call sir kyle. I was thinking the same thing when I read it.All 5th gens came with 2.2 v-tec.....at least in America.

Well i wish all preludes in the uk came from america in that case cus i have a 2l, dohc with programed fuel injection, but its nothin on the v-tec, i too was thinkin about an engine change but was also wondering how visable boring it out n stickin the 2.2 head on it but its looking dodgy as fook!Sir Kyle wrote:All 5th gens came with 2.2 v-tec.....at least in America.

Ya sounds dodgy as fook. I've never heard of that hybrid motor before. You need to see if the head and block line up. If you have lots of cash and aren't affraid of failure, then I say do it. But you'd be better off just swapping an H22.
