Help-Urgent!!

Post by aceSiR »

Guys my 5th Gen prelude had 205/50-16 as stock tires/wheels.Now i got 205/40-17 on my 17' mags.I was told this is the wrong size for 17" and that i should be having 215/45-17 instead. The problem is,am getting new 205/40-17 and not 215/45-17.Does it really matter?Am i going to encounter any issues with 205/40-17?Pls advise.

Either should fit, although it really depends on the width of your rims. The 205s should have a very similar patch area to the 215s, but they'll be a little more low profile. Both are very low profile tires, so if the tire place can get them on the wheels, you'll be fine.
