That's a new one....

Your mirror fits into a bracket in your roof, correct? Is the mounting piece broken? The diagram I have shows that there are two fasteners, two brackets and a washer. Hard to see how it atually goes on. Anyone with a 5th gen here that can help?

I'm not sure I understrand what you're asking about the light....

Do you want to remove the light?

Jason,

Remove the lens from the light. (pop out with a flat head screwdriver)

Remove the two bolts from inside the light itself, this releases the light fixture. There is a wire connector that you can unplug or leave in. Easier to just unplug and get the whole light out of your way.

Once the light is out you have to remove the light trim piece.

Then there are two clips (facing the windshield) that have to be popped and the back of the trim has three small hooks, using a forward and down motion, this should get the trim piece off.

You should now see the mount for the mirror. Remove the three screws and the rubber damper and remove the mirror.

I've got the visuals linked below:

Good luck!

Glad to help. Just remember where you got the info from and pass it around. We're not as big as some of the other Prelude sites but we try just as hard. *and usually end with better results, I might add.
