Noob here have a question from Atlanta......
Just recently purchased a 2000 Honda Prelude. Previous owner has done some great mods. I'm looking to get the door handles shaved. First question is: Does anyone know of a kit to recommend (thats not a piece of garbage) in the 40-50 lb. range? Secondly, does anyone know of any custom body shops that does the work. I have contacted a couple, but Cheapest I have found is $1000 bucks (does not include the kit). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any particular experience with that mod. The price for the work sounds about right though. Body work is VERY time consuming, so you'll pay a lot for labor. Best suggestion I can give you is to ask around and make sure you take the lude to a quality body shop.
Welcome to the forums. Sorry I can't be more help. Somebody here may have done such a mod and will drop in to share their experience.
