Re: Prelude Picture Thread - Post Pictures of Your Lude
some pics of my 5G innova.
The engine is a 2.0 133cv.
A just bought a cata converter yesterday. The car will have a new paint in september, new 17P wheels in october, new coilover springs in november, and a new larger throttle body in december. I put off the CAI last month, because of the noise, to fit the oem airbox. Less noise, but less air.... Maybe with the next throttle body I will have the same gain of power. I hope. If you have ideas, don't hesite !!!!

Wow.
It's always great to see a stock one. Rare color too. Take care of her.

Questions - How long have you had your Prelude? How many miles? What is that color called?89ludacris wrote:here is my lude ready and un molested
Do you plan on keeping it like it is or are you going to mod it mechanically or cosmetically?
Glad to have you aboard!

Re: Prelude Picture Thread - Post Pictures of Your Lude
Nice Prelude! You're pretty tall .... does it fit you ok? That's what I love about my 4th gen. I'm 6'2'' and I still have to pull my seat forward to reach the pedals. The ONLY car I have ever driven that I don't have to have the seat as far back as it will go to drive. Even my Titan has less foot and leg room than the Prelude.
Maybe you can keep the 3rd gen and have a 4th gen as well.
Just one thing to think about, 96 models came with OBDII..... and that's a whole different can of worms when it comes to the computer information and electronic control systems for that car. Can be a REAL pain in the ass!
If you can get a 95, go that route, still OBDI I'm just sayin' is all.

Hot diggity! Another white 3rd gen. Love them in white.
Looks like your a tallish guy like me. I'm 6'2" as well. I have to put my seat all the way back, which gives plenty of space. My head nearly touches the roof though.

Haha Im 6'4 and when I first saw the car I thought how am I ever going to fit into that, but once i tilted the steering wheel back and moved the seat back I actually had plenty of room. It is kind of amusing to see me get in/out of the car though, especially since it is lowered a bit.

Re: Prelude Picture Thread - Post Pictures of Your Lude
this was before the front end damage...
before
recent pics at the car wash! i had so much fun. replaced the gasket and gave her a bath.
the grafitti was done by me. i got frustrated...>>; her battery died after work. the white is the hood that replaced the original because it was dented in the front. had lots of rust which explains the "hitler"stashe
was taken before the autocruise was taken out. but the valve cover was cleaned (of the heat resistant paint)
closer view
fender damage from a guy running my fiancee out his lane
black trim taken off, now shiny
back trim was done as well
i guess another motor shot
full bay shot. so many wires. i dont understand where/what they all go to o.o
was taken after the autocruise was out, moved something to make it look (organized?)
some more
getting a nice bath. love tricolour!!
end result! power washed motor! cleaned, vaccuumed :3
gonna get different rims. they are gonna be red.
BIG PROJECT! she needs a lil love.

Re: Prelude Picture Thread - Post Pictures of Your Lude
Of course I am going to say that your car looks awesome because it's red. But, I'm not biased in any way, at all. Nuh uh. Not at all. Not me! LOL
Milano red is a great color! Even when faded it still looks better than most.
I can't tell from the pics, but is it too far gone, or could it be restored? You'd be surprised what a good light compounding, clear coat restorer, buffing and polishing can do for old paint. Too bad that it wasn't taken care of or you'd have good paint still. My paint is original and shines like brand new. But I baby it every week with silicon polish and it gets a good cleaning and waxing every month, regardless.
Those rims look good. Not many aftermarket rims that I like. Those work. Keep them.
I want your climate control and your rear wiper!
Thanks for the pics, and I'm glad that you were able to save this Prelude's life. They're good cars, they deserve TLC from good owners.

@wanted-4-living : A little love goes a long way with a Honda! Take care of her and treat her right, even if she's not perfect, and she'll never fail you! Thanks for the pics ! I like the scratches, personal graffiti and different colored hood.... gives it character!
