OEM Alloy Rims: 92-93 vs. 94-96

Post by elspectro29 »

I'm thinking about switching my rims (OEM 94-96) for a set of OEM 92-93 rims. I know the 92-93s are a little heavier, but I like the way they look better. Are there any differences between the two styles otherwise? I'm mostly interested in if the center caps are the same size, in case I buy a set without them.

Not sure on the center caps, but dimensionally the rims will be the same. You're fine to interchange them.

there were many types of OEM rims available for those years. For example the SE rims that were available after 1995. There are ones with grey inserts and there are the super rare ones with the red inserts.

I've only ever seen one SE that I know of, and it had the grey inserts. The rims I'm talking about aree on this car, so mine would look almost exactly like it but with a spoiler.

The center caps look like they're probably the same size. Those SE rims are pretty tempting, however...

Maybe I'll go with the SE's after all.
