Part number

Post by elpachio »

Hi everyone,

I have a crack on my downpipe flex (front exhaust) on a 95 Prelude 2.2.
Honda of course want a small fortune for the front section, so I wondered if anybody knew the part number I'd need for this, so I can bypass Honda?

Also, I have a worn O/S tie rod on the steering rack - I know someone who can repair them by re-crimping, but does anyone know if it's possible to remove the tie rod from the steering rack of a 2.2 '95 Lude easily? Or would the whole rack have to come out?

Thank you.
Steven

Here's the schematic for the 2.2 VTEC exhaust system. If you have the non-vtec then you can go through the parts search again to find the right picture. The part numbers listed on this site are the Honda Part numbers. Maybe that will help you.

Not sure about the tie rod. If you can pull the tie rod boot back and see a way to disconnect it, the answer is yes, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for replying Spiffyguido - I do have the VTEC system.
I couldn't get the link to open though sadly - would you mind reposting it please?

Appreciate your time.
