60 mph @ 2600 rpm 4th gear

Post by redspoon »

Noob here, first post and glad you guys are here :D
I have a 89 automatic, I believe its a 2.0. Question is at 60 mph the rpm's read about 26 or 27 hundred. Is this
normal feels like it should be less.
S3 light is flashing but I count the shifts and rpm drops and it is indeed in fourth gear.

thanks
John

HI John,

Welcome to the forums. We're happy you found us.

The rpm range you're getting sounds normal to me.

And here's a thread that might help you with the S3 blinking: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4821
