i was wondering if anyone knew how to take the trunk off a 96 honda prelude for paint? any help would be appreicated as well as any videos.

The procedure to take the trunk off is detailed on page 20-66 of the 1992 Honda Prelude Shop Manual available in the Manuals section (see link at top of page).
