Hey man is your exhaust a pacesetter monza??

Yes it is.

Pretty decent for the price. Very quiet, until about 4000rpm, then it screams.

Should have asked in the first post....what type of headers are you running? or are you starting at the cat?

It's just a cat-back.

I'd like a DC Sports header, but those are hard to find.

Icepick...you have this on a 3rd Gen Lude??? Where did you get the DC Header??

actually i bought this lude off of someone that came from California so it's possible that somewhere there they got it there i dont have there number anymore but its worth researching. i've heard its hard to find them. I will tell you that it does have a significant change in rumble and in overall power. I can scream at 3 grand or so, get up to about 4 on the highway and you can hear me from a good mile to a mile and a half away comin with a high flow catt and a tip on the end

Spiff....hey ordered the Pacesetter Monza today. Any insight for the install? I am going to pull the cat and modify slightly then put it back on and it looks like it all just bolts up. Did you use a clamp or have the center slip joint welded?.

You could use a clamp. I just hammered it into place and then wrapped it with exhaust wrap. Once the joint is together, it doesn't move. The joint is tapered on one side, so it wedges together nicely. Never had a problem with it. Welding would probably be fine as well, but make sure you repaint it. Don't want it rusting out at the welds.

Install was pretty straight forward. The rubber hangers for the exhaust system are the biggest pain and you will have to strongarm them a bit to get them off the old system and onto the new one. My flange bolts on the stock system were really seized as well. Make sure you have a flange gasket for the rear end of the cat as I don't think the kit comes with one. It's a metal squish gasket so you have to use a new one every time you take the flange apart. A few bucks from Honda.

Other than that no real problems. On a side note, it's a good time to remove and clean your undercar heat shield. I took mine out, scrubbed it down, repainted it, and then reinstalled it with the pipe.
