i'm just wondering if anyone has a diagram of the prelude's sunroof/where the wires run and if i am able to take out the sunroof out of the 88 prelude im just wondering because i've got a 89 prelude with a sunroof and i have a cavalier that has horrible dents on the roof of the car "i wont go into detail but for a laugh-->" someone took out the hood pins on the cavalier and i didnt have the pins locked on the hood. but i was contemplating wether or not to put the sunroof on the cavalier... any comments or suggestions? i was going to mark out on the cavalier where to put the sunroof but i have no idea on how to dismantle the 88 sunroof. any tips? Thanks

Check the wiring diagrams in the service manual available in the manuals section of this site (linked to at the top of the screen). There might be information about the wiring, but I don't recall seeing anything about how it comes apart. I've taken the glass out of mine before, and that was super easy, but to take motor and hardware out for the sunroof you'd probably have to drop the roofliner out.

Hi, just in relation to the 1988 sunroof has anyone else had trouble with water sitting inside the sunroof somewhere and when it is open water pours into the passengers lap? :o

If so, is there an easy fix for this or is it a trait that we have to put up with?

Thanks

It's fixable. A leaking sunroof is a common problem.

Glad that helped.

Also, I moved this thread to the 3rd gen forum so that others can find it more easily.
