Hi Everyone,
I have an R Reg 2.0 Renault Laguna. The Remote door locking hasn't worked for a couple of years, but the car has always started with the keys. The other night it would not start although lights, dash lights etc all work. Put new batteries in the keys still didn't work. Disconnected battery for 5 mins still doesn't work. Any ideas please?

We're most familiar with Honda Preludes on this forum, but I can still offer some ideas.

If the car won't even turn over, I'd suspect that the starter or the ignition switch is the source of your trouble. If your vehicle is equipped with an immobilizer then you should also make sure that it isn't being activated for some reason.
