1990 B21A1 blinking light on dash S1

S1 light blinking and trans slipping 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 - but not at first. Only slips after engine warms.

You'll want to start by getting the error code from your A/T control unit. The error code light can be seen through the carpet flap in your passenger side footwell. Download the 1988 service manual from our manuals section and see page 9-12 to get an idea of how to check the code. On page 9-13 there is a description of what each page means. Let us know what you find.
