1994 Prelude starting problem

Hi all, am new to this forum but hoping someone can offer some help. My Prelude has an intermittent starting problem whereby sometimes it starts straight up and other times it cranks over but will not start. Engine light sometimes stays on but if I turn the key off and then on again, light goes off. My husband is convinced it is a fuel sensor problem but I would like some other ideas so we can set about getting it fixed. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Hi Ady,

The engine light indicates that your ECU is throwing an error code. It would be helpful if you could find out what error is being thrown. Directions on how to do this are here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14

Have you noticed any pattern as to when the car will start and when it won't. For example, does it only start easily when the engine is cold? hot?

I will get my husband to check it out over the weekend and will let you know how we get on. Thanks for your advice.

Turns out all sensors, relays etc were fine. Problem turned out to be dry solder. Auto electrician picked up problem and all fixed now. Thanks for your help.
