Engine too cold?

for some reason when i put my car in neutral and let it glide it starts too cool down and the temp gauge starts to go down to C. Also when i put the heating on while iam driving that also lowers the temperature. Is this normal?

Yes, that's normal.
Putting the car in neutral reduces load on the engine, which will help to cool it.
Turning on your heater takes heat from the engine and puts it inside the cabin of the car. Again this will cool the engine.
These, by the way, are good things to remember if your car every overheats and you need to drive to the next service area. Crank the heater all the way up, roll down the windows and put as little load on the engine as possible.

Your thermostat should keep your engine around halfway between the C and the H on your gage assuming the gage works properly.
Your engine needs to keep a relatively steady temp so computer can run the engine efficiently( saves gas and better performance).
