Does anyone know the difference between the B21A in SISTATES and the B21A1 Motors. Is injection different, head etc. Only info about motor please, have read about the body differences,LSD,ABS etc.

As far as I know, they're almost exactly the same. The B21A produces 5 more horsepower, which I predict is mostly due to the way they were tuned.

It's possible that some of the internals were different, perhaps the camshaft. I don't know for sure though.

Every picture I've seen of a B21A looks exactly like my B21A1, right down to the special exhaust heat shield.

Let us know if you discover anything.

One question: why do you mention ABS as being special to the SIStates? My 3rd gen has ABS and it's not an SIStates

SiStates

Your right,it came out that way !! didnt mean to make it sound like ABS was exclusive to SiStates. Actually not all SiStates are ABS fitted either. I have ABS on my 88 Manual. Here i would see 3 or 4 3rd gens everyday around town. They all look stock. Rotorua N.Z. pop 60,000
