Tail Light/Brake Light Issue

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with one of my tail light/brake light setups (the passenger side, closest to the center). It seems neither will work simultaneously (if the tail light is working, the brake light won't, and vice versa). Moving them around a bit seems to help, but not enough. Is this a wiring issue or is something (a socket, etc.) going bad? As previously stated, it's a '91 Si ALB.
