I just bought a 97 vtec and its got a kinda load tick im pertty sure iys the valve but is there an easy way to check and if it was a rod when im was driving it the tick from a rod would just get louder right no get quite i need help with this pleas help thanks and how much is a valve job run normally

If it's a ticking sound coming from the top of the engine, it's probably a valve. You'd have to phone your local Honda dealership to see how much a valve adjustment would cost. I don't know what they would charge.
