This is probably the hardest-hitting youtube video I've ever seen:

Get comfortable. This film will lay waste to the rest of your day, especially if you love dogs.
I've had 4 dogs in my lifetime. All became dear friends, and I miss each of them. This film raised a lot of emotions.

Re: Hard-Hitting YouTube Video
Am facing having to do the same thing with a family pet. It's killing me every day, knowing that I am going to have to do that soon as well.
I couldn't bring myself to watch the video though. It's just too close to home right now. No way would I make it through.
Will try another day.

I actually regret posting the video if you've got a pet that's soon to end their mission.
It's a wise choice to skip watching it.
Just promise us that you'll be in the room with them when they drift off. That's really the message of the film, and from personal experience, something that's really important. As painful as it was, I was glad to be with my last dog when he had to make his trip to the happy hunting grounds.
