89 Heater not blowing hot air

Post by Snuffy »

I have an 89 2.0 Si 4WS that I am attempting to rescue. I am not getting any hot air from the heater. The blower works fine. The Heater Control warm/cold slider works. The buttons on the Heater Control are iffy. I have changed the thermostat, and checked the coolant. Before I pull the Heater Control, is there something I can do or test? I am new to this Forum and new to Honda ownership. Wish me luck.

If the buttons are iffy, that's potentially the source of your problems. Assuming your heater core is okay, if the blower is running, you should be getting warm air once the engine has warmed.
