I have a Honda 1990 prelude- one owner. Maintained very well. I notice the car jumps for a block when first started. Took to mechanic with that complaint and hedid a tune up-new fuel filter .
spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor- labor and parts $300.00 but it didn't solve the problem. Any ideas or solutions? Live 100 miles to nearest Honda dealer.
1990 Honda prelude 206,000 car jumps for about a block?

Can you be more specific? Do you mean that the engine surges a lot causing the car to rapidly accelerate and then bog down?

I don't quite know how to explain this but I will try. When car is first driven it jerks--jerks-jerks for several minutes. When it gets warmed up it quits. Sounds unusual, huh?
Appreciate you sending a response. I love my red Honda and want to drive it until 300,000-- Is that possible?

Very possible to get to 300,000.
