Speedometer quit working

Post by Bubba »

91 Prelude 2.0 SI 5spd manual - speedometer quite working abruptly two days ago. Check engine light comes on after driving a few miles. Suspect sensor is bad or a broken wire. Not sure where to find sensor. Appreciate any comments or assistance.
Thanks

The speed sensor is located in a small metal box that is bolted to the top side of the transmission. You'll see some wires coming out there. Have a look and see if the wires have just come off.

If you download a manual from our manuals section, there should be a schematic of the sensor.
