Does anyone know what the thermostatic switch/protector is. I read in a thread on another site that this could solve the problem im having with the a/c red light cutting on.
On this site they said that "The red warning light comes on because these 2 sensors are defective. *Normally because of excessive heat. *A hot header, or more importantly the lack of a componant cooling fan allows these 2 sensors to burn, or the wires to become brittle and fry.
Im trying to locate or find out what this is.
thanks
A/C red light

Re: A/C red light
Page 15-48 of the service manual references a 'Thermal Protector' on the AC compressor.
Replacement is covered on page 15-52.
15-53 shows how to test the switch.
Could the Thermal Protector on the AC Compressor be what you're looking for?
