Pop-up headlights

Post by buckybwhiplash »

I noticed the headlights will not go back down. If I use the manual control under the hood they just go back up. I've looked through the schematics and they really don't break down the operation of the controls.

There's a switch inside the car that keeps them locked in the open position. Is it activated?

I ended up tearing into the switches in the dash and found where someone did an "add a wire" to power an aux tach which was back feeding enough to power up the open side of the switch. Just because any auto parts store will sell someone a wire stripers/crimpers doesn't mean they should use them Lol. I purchased an 06 Dodge Cummins that the prior owner did some real shitty wiring job to power up a Raptor fuel pump and some driving and backup lights which I ended up getting the truck for $8000 less than what they were asking because of it. It's all about little victories.

And thanks again Spiffy.

Figured it was something simple. Glad you got it fixed.
