cooling system

Post by Eric »

My 91 Prelude B20A developed a problem where the one radiator fan ran for a long time after switching the motor off . I cleaned and replaced terminals on the relay but to no avail . As the fan has now been damaged and need to be replaced i am desperate for an exploded view of the fan assembly and motors to be able to remove and replace the fan . Help would be greatly appreciated

To start, I'll point out that it's perfectly normal for the fan to run after the car is shut off. This is done to help cool the engine down after a warm run. All three of my Preludes have done that.

Regarding the fan schematic, just have a look in the manuals section (see top of the page) and download the 1988 Service Manual. There should be a good breakdown in there that will help you with a tear down if required.
