Interchangeable Parts List

Post by spiffyguido »

Hey everyone,

I thought I would start putting together a list of interchangeable parts for 3rd generation Preludes. This will grow as needed. I have not verified all of these. It is your responsibility to ensure fit.

Engine

-Throttle body from a '94 Acura Legend (Vigor). This throttle body has a 58mm bore. 3mm wider than stock.
-B-Series Cam Gears
-Piston Rods from an H23

Front Lips

-Mazda 626 from early 1990s
-88-91 Honda CRX Si
-1st generation Acura Integra (86-89)
-2nd generation Acura Integra (90-93)

No. I made this list a while ago based on things I had read about working over and over again. Apparently the lips from all those cars can be made to fit.

I used a hood prop keeper and holder from an 00 accord. Honda says they're out of both for 3g preludes.
But they are the exact same part under a different number still in use today.

A lot of little stuff like that for restoration projects can be used.

I go to hondapartsnow.com. They still list part numbers for discontinued items. Armed with that and proper 'part name' I've been able to help my local dealer help me find some of the darndest things.

And for you junkyard shoppers, typing in the part # in the hpn search bar populates a list of other cars said part was used on. If you use their acura site, you get a list of acura cars that shared them too.
