headers: 4-2-1 or 4-1?

Im about to get some headers but ive been getting too many opinion from my friends. they all drive civics so im trying to get feed back from prelude owners who put new headers.. so wats better 4-2-1 or 4-1?

The jury is still out on this one. Most of the stuff I've read suggests that 4-2-1 is better, but I think it depends on how you plan to drive. For really high RPM engine conditions (track racing), the 4-1 is probably better. For street, I can see the 4-2-1 as being the better choice.

For things like this, it's usually best to try and get ahold of a dyno sheet for the header in question. Most quality manufacturers make these available. That way you can see the power curves and make an educated decision.

Either way, it won't matter for more than a few horsepower.
