sugar water in my gas tank

Post by hondachick82 »

Does anybody have any suggestions? I believe somebody put sugar water in my has tank. I drained the fuel a few times but it still acts up. It idles fine but when I push the gas it loses all fuel pressure and almost does.

Uggh. How awful.

You did the right by draining the fuel. Did you get all the fuel out of the fuel rail, etc? You'll need to make sure you get all the water out of the system. You'll probably want to check into the condition of the fuel filter as well. Sugar doesn't dissolve in gasoline so if any got picked up by the pump your fuel filter would get clogged.

I already changed the fuel filter but I guess I have to take the fuel pump out again and clean it
