Well, it came and it went. WAY too fast. I can't believe it's over already.

It was a great weekend for us. Perfect 70 degree weather, sunny, light wind....

Right at 100,000 people turned out.

Link to the race start video I took - not the best quality, but really cool from our vantage point on the hill out of the first turn. To see and hear the race start on the jumbo-tron and then out of nowhere comes this screaming pack of Indy Cars....it was AWESOME!!! http://tinyurl.com/y7p49hg < When you first click on this and it opens the browser window, it may say [no video] .. give it a second to load and begin streaming.

Lots of fun and a new experience for most people down here in NASCAR country.

This is my first up close and personal Indy Car event. I must say, having VIP passes didn't hurt the experience one bit.

The intimacy of the crews and drivers with their fans and spectators was almost more cool than the racing itself.

I really liked being able to walk up to crew chiefs and drivers and actually talk to them. Amazing.

It was great. A huge success and definitely it will be a repeat event.

All the drivers I talked to were so impressed with the track, they said they couldn't wait to get back. COOL! I'm already looking for my tickets!

Will put up more pictures when I have time to get them all downloaded from the camera and sorted out.

Superb pictures, Red. Loved each one of them. Always nice to see the cars in the paddock....that's where the real magic of racing happens.

You were able to get nice and close. How'd you manage the VIP pass?
