Car = Weapon

Hey everyone,

Here are some videos that I dug up to remind us how dangerous a car can be if you're unfortunate enough to get hit by one.

For our first clip, we have a group of guys who decide to send good ol' Frosty the Snowman on a Frogger training mission. Frosty puts up a fight for the first collision, but after that, his untimely demise looks more like a vaporisation. I'm sure they damaged the vehicle involved in this clip, but since it's just a Dodge Intrepid, I doubt anyone really cared. On a final note, you may want to turn down your volume for this clip; the guy holding the camera has a laugh that gets annoying faster than you can say "die frosty, die".

Next we have a video of an innocent cop getting owned by an SUV. If this video isn't enough motivation for you to think twice about changing a flat on the side of the highway, I don't know what is. Amazingly, he manages to actually get up and run off the road.

So maybe one day you might find yourself at a motor racing event, and to top things off, you get to watch track-side. If you're spectating anywhere near a corner, it's always wise to watch from the inside of the corner and not the outside. Don't believe me? Watch this.

If you own a high powered car, and like to drive fast, you need to know that even small objects can do huge amounts of damage to your car if you're going fast enough. Watch what happens when this fellow hits a bird going 180 MPH in his Evo IX.

Looking for a new job? Motor racing photography might not be the safest option. Racers seems to care very little about any people that might be in the way of them winning the race. Look what happens to this photographer. Was the picture worth it? Doubtful.

Just for fun....

Back to business. Do you own a motorbike? You may feel invincible racing around on a couple hundred kilos of metal, but you can get easily victimized by any car. Watch this video to see how much damage a tiny car can do to a motorbike. The guy on the bike is likely dead, or at least eating his Cambells Extra Chunky Soup through a straw. The car, well, it'll buff out.

A New S2000 CR

Honda has announced that it will be releasing a new trim level of the S2000 Roadster to go on sale in Fall 2007. Call the S2000 CR, the new trim level will be a more aggressively tuned model to better meet the needs of Honda performance enthusiasts. No word yet on the exact specs, but Honda says that the car will be track ready for club racers who really want to push it to the limit.

Start saving your pennies.

Honda RA107 is Hot

Honda's new Formula 1 car is generating a lot of press because of its new paint scheme, strangely devoid of any sponsor advertising except for the FIA required Bridgestone logo and delicious Honda logo on the nose.

And you know what...

I Love It

I think that the Honda RA 107 looks spectacular. I love the color. I love the lines. Most of all though, I love what the car stands for. The Honda RA 107 is painted up like the earth to build awareness for myearthdream.com; a site collecting pledges from individuals who are willing to make changes in their lifestyle that will help keep our beautiful planet earth stay green.

I congratulate the Honda F1 team on their decision to promote a healthier earth. The Honda F1 car has never looked so good.
